Low Tide

A stroll amongst the exposed rocks at this morning’s low tide. Lowest this month, & lowest it’ll be until late February.  Shoals of 6″ fish & the occasional startled blue spotted Rays swam around us as we waded up to thigh deep in the warm water.

We hope you enjoy looking at the photos.  We loved wandering out there to see what we could discover.  A case of the more we looked the more we saw.

Here is just a tiny sample of what was out there.  Don’t forget that ‘right clicking (PC) /control clicking (Mac) any photo will enable you to enlarge it for a better look if you wish.

Wind blown sand ridges above the high tide mark. …. soft & loose.
Smooth hard sand below the high tide mark.

When the tide started coming back in , it did so surprisingly rapidly.

    1. What beautiful colours and interesting sea creatures. You are so lucky to have seen all of this. We lived in the Pilbara for a number of years and the tide does come in very quickly and you can get caught if not keeping an eye on it.
